We offer seven binding options for our natural fiber rugs. All bindings can go on all weaves (except Serging on Seagrass). Wide and Extra Wide Canvas are top stitched with top stitched mitered corners; blind stitching on Extra Wide Canvas is availalbe for an additional cost. Linen, Novo Leather and Tapestry bindings are blind stitched with blind stitched mitered corners.

Wide Canvas Binding
Top stitched and shows 1 ¼" width on face of rugs with top stitched, mitered corners. Corner shown is Blue Wide Canvas Top-Stitched on Tan/Blue Natal Sisal.

 
Extra-Wide Canvas
Top stitched and shows 2 1/8" width on face of rugs with top stitched, mitered corners. Can be blind stitched for an additional charge. Corner shown is Honey Extra Wide Canvas Top-Stitched on Bambu Boucle Sisal.

Linen
Shows 2 1/8" on face of rug and is blind stitched and padded with blind stitched, mitered corners.

Available on the Boucle, Brasilia, Natal, Sun and Sisal Wool Collections. Corner shown is Brown Serging on Expresso Sisal Wool Sisal.

Mitered Corners - Blind Stitched
The corners of the binding on your area rug can be mitered which means they are finished at an angle. See photo. On the blind stitched mitered corners, the stitching is hidden. Blind stitched mitered corners and blind stitched bindings are standard with Linen, Novo Leather, Leather and Tapestry bindings and optional on Extra Wide Canvas. Corner shown is Green Linen on Tan/Green Natal Sisal.

Top Stitched Mitered Corners
Mitered Corners – Top Stitched. The corners of the binding on your area rug can be mitered which means they are finished at an angle. See photo. On the top stitched mitered corner, the stitching is slightly visible – we use thread that matches the binding. See photo. Top stitched mitered corners are standard on Wide and Extra Wide Canvas bindings. Top stitching is not availalbe on any other bindings. Corner shown is Honey Extra Wide Canvas Top Stitched on Bambu Boucle Sisal.
